Pikes Peak Children's Museum

Preschool Options

1. Grow as We Grow – Students explore the life cycles of familiar wildlife and understand that living things grow and change.

2. Show Me the Energy – Students learn that plants need water and sun to grow, and that animals get the food they need from plants and other animals.

*PPCM staff have ensured that these programs are developmental appropriate for preschool. The other programs listed below are not appropriate for this age; therefore we reserve the right not to conduct those programs for children who have not yet attended kindergarten.

The express objectives of PPCM are to provide:

  • A new local destination for residents and tourists as a dynamic hands-on, engaging and fun educational
experience focused on the age group 0-10.
  • An educational laboratory for children to encounter boundless opportunities for discovery and
imagination, sparking a passion for life-long learning. To bridge the gap between school and community and bring together districts, schools, teachers and staff in a collaborative effort to keep kids playing so they continue to love learning,
  • A compelling environment to nurture wonder and creativity, encouraging children’s innate desire to explore the world around them by creating a space that advocates for children.
  • A community resource as an indispensable resource for children, families, the community at large and
elementary-level educators as a mutually beneficial connecting point.
Pikes Peak Children's Museum

We are committed to providing access to all and nurturing the fundamental values of diversity, equity, access, and inclusion (DEAI).

At the Pikes Peak Children's Museum, we are committed to creating an environment that is diverse,
equitable, and inclusive for all members of our community. We believe that every child and family has the
right to feel welcome and valued, and we strive to create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and
respected. To achieve this goal, we are committed to:

• Embracing diversity: We celebrate the unique differences in each child and family who walks through our
doors, including differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, religion, and
socioeconomic status.

• Creating an inclusive environment: We are dedicated to creating a space where every child and family
feels welcome and included, regardless of their background or identity.

• Providing equitable access: We believe that every child deserves access to high-quality educational
experiences, regardless of their family's financial situation. We strive to remove barriers to access and
provide opportunities for all children to learn and grow.
