Pikes Peak Children’s Museum is honored to be able to bring programming to the children and families of Colorado Springs. Since we do not have a permanent museum, running our programs is the best way for us to engage with the community!
We currently have 4 major areas of our programming. This includes Birthday Parties, Mobile Curriculum, Camps and Community Outreach. Although we can’t go through every facet of each program, the basics about each program include:
- Birthday Parties – We have (2) options, each of which are 30-45 minutes in length. Our Abracadabra Birthday Party is geared for kids 3 to 7 years old. Our Science Behind Birthday Party is geared for kids 8 to 12 years old. These parties include: a digital invitation, a birthday card for the birthday child, a birthday party t-shirt, birthday party coupons & treats for their goodie bags, and of course, the program itself.
- Mobile Curriculum – 5 science programs have been created to offer preschool through 4th grade teachers the opportunity to bring PPCM to their classroom and provide unique, hands-on, engaging activities to their students. These programs follow the current standards for Colorado schools.
- Camps – We held our first summer week long camp in 2017. It was such a blast and we would like to continue to be able to offer this option to parents and kids. The camp lasts for 1 week and includes a theme, along with activities that follow S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math).
- Community Outreach – By attending local community event OR hosting our own local community events, we are able to reach a wide range of people within the community. Each of these events include a fun activity or activities for kids to participate in. It is an opportunity to spread the word about PPCM, but to also encourage creation, imagination and discovery through our activities provided.
We have some great plans for our programming this year! In order to make this happen, we need the support of our community. We are looking for organizations & businesses to PARTNER with or join us for the year as a SPONSOR. Learn more about this opportunity: PROGRAMMING 2018
